Easy Dum Aloo Without Onion-Garlic / Potato in Spicy Tomato Gravy

Dum Aloo is a popular vegetarian recipe cooked throughout India consisting of potatoes usually smaller ones , (sometimes instead of baby potatoes, big potatoes are used , peel and cut into big 2 inch pieces) are first fried , then cooked slowly at low flame in a tomato-based gravy with spices. In Bengal there are different variations of Dum aloo. Like this one , contains no onion and garlic , we called it Niramish Allo r Dum. During festivals in any prasad, this Aloo r Dom is a must with khichdi and chutney or Poori.

Samosas are triangular , crispy , deep-fried pastry with spicy potato-peas filling. Mostly paired with tangy tamarind chutney or coconut-cilantro chutney for dipping. It is one of the popular snacks of India and there are several variations of this snack across the country , like , keema samosa , paneer samosa, and many more.

Aloo Posto / Potatoes in poppy seed gravy

ALOO POSTO is a traditional Bengali recipe of potatoes , made with nutty flavored poppy seeds paste , with a hint of heat from green chili. This delicious recipe is best served with steamed rice and biuli r dal (Urad Dal/Lentil).
