Easy Dum Aloo Without Onion-Garlic / Potato in Spicy Tomato Gravy

Dum Aloo is a popular vegetarian recipe cooked throughout India consisting of potatoes usually smaller ones , (sometimes instead of baby potatoes, big potatoes are used , peel and cut into big 2 inch pieces) are first fried , then cooked slowly at low flame in a tomato-based gravy with spices. In Bengal there are different variations of Dum aloo. Like this one , contains no onion and garlic , we called it Niramish Allo r Dum. During festivals in any prasad, this Aloo r Dom is a must with khichdi and chutney or Poori.

Chingri Malai Curry also known as Prawn Malai Curry, is a classic Bengali preparation made with prawns and coconut milk. The word ‘Malai’ means cream, but this curry gets its creaminess from coconut milk. This recipe is simple to make, and extremely good to eat.
